Wikis CPD
Hello, trying to iron out some problems for tomorrow. My own presentation is very different from the one I'm posting here. The presentation here should, however, help you get set up using the new pbwiki layout at home. I'd like to talk you all through this step by step, but having new and varied problems with blocked URL's, along with what seems a daily problem with surf control...
Many thanks to slideshare user suesbent. I'm going to use my existing Higher wiki if I can't release some of the training sites. I'll create some pages which hopefully you can use to check out some wiki functions.

Update to Audio CPD
Hi all,
Just an update to tonight's CPD. We didn't get much of a chance to fully explore audacity due to time constraints, but please download it and have a play around- It's really very simple to use and in my experience, the students really enjoy using it. In answer to one of the questions (one of the music sites wasn't working properly), it might be worth trying podsafe. I don't know if the school has this blocked, but all of the music is creative commons, which means as long as you attribute the creator, you can use many of the tunes for free in your podcasts providing you're not making a profit from them!).
Also, for the Nokia N73, you can search on www.my-symbian.com or www.allaboutsymbian.com and download freeware, so you might find some software that will allow you to add something similar to a countdown timer.

The latest installment
Here's the next lot-most of the Audacity stuff is practical, so best to download this after the CPD and try it yourself:-

Playing with Gcast
I'm hoping this link works. There's a way to put a podcast player into the blog, but I'm too tired to work out the code:-
http://www.gcast.com/u/kennyodonnell/main
I'll talk about this tomorrow, but like all of the podcast hosts I've tried so far, it's blocked in school.....
